"The future of accounting is in someone who understands guidance and all the rules, (with) the technical 'chops' and knowledge to APPLY that"

When accounting legislation changes, accounting businesses have to change as well. Our guest, Mike Whitmire, responded by disrupting a specific niche in the market, transforming his accounting operation by growing his team and developing innovative AI-driven software to help them keep to deadlines and stay on target as they expanded. Speaking from California, he talks to Kyle Hannan (AICPA & CIMA, London) and shares practical tips that many accounting businesses worldwide can benefit from. His own experience would help them remain resilient and attract the right staff as they accommodate the challenges of their own dynamic statutory environments.

TALKING POINTS

  • Blending innovative hiring practices with disruptive AI-driven software to optimise teams, the companies they work in and the clients they serve.
  • Practical steps to hire and retain the right people.
  • How to make a business report data faster because you understand it better.
  • Using tools which are available now and which will transform the way the accounting profession delivers even more value in the future.
